I'm in week 4 of C25k, so I'm following this thread with great interest! I was definitely not starting from the couch, though, and I'm really glad I wasn't! I think it's a pretty challenging program, actually, depending on where your fitness level currently is. Week four is tough! I can't wait to start running outside.

One thing I've noticed is that I started off feeling super energetic and peppy, but this week I've been absolutely dragging. I'm getting plenty of sleep but I am just exhausted all the time. Like, that patch of carpet over there looks super appealing. I'm not sure what's going on. A lot of the standard advice has to do with nutrition and I'm not sure

I definitely think this cold weather could have something to do with your energy level. I feel like it's taking a great deal of my energy just to stay WARM.  Also? Odd concept for me.  I've always been the overly high temperatured heavy girl!

I've followed this program a few different times in my life and really enjoy it.  I find that good music gets me through some of the difficult times. "Just run until the end of this song and then you'll be done..."

I would echo everything already said. Go slow, listen to your body, make sure to have good shoes. Also, and this was a hard one for me...don't be hard on yourself or overly competitive.  I've had to repeat days, or weeks... But every day you run is a day youre preparing your body for more running! :)

Finally, to remember on the hard days, even if the session kicked your butt and you had to stop and walk a few times, you're still doing more than the people on the couch. Or more than you used to do!
