When does the increase in energy appear?

Hey everyone,

First I want to thank all of you for the inspiration and motivation you provide. I got sleeved on 7/7/15.  Recovery has been rather smooth. I still have some discomfort from the main incision but nothing bad. I am eating according to plan and hitting my water and protein goals.

So my question is, when does the increased energy people talk about show up? I know it may take some time due to the healing process.

I would love to hear people's experiences.

Scott

Took me around 6-8 weeks to feel more energy. Calories are super low in the beginning and your body is healing so it takes a while. Try not to overdo it for the first couple of months, it will benefit you more later on.

Oh yea the afterburners will switch on 5-8 weeks in.  Your skeletal frame needs to shed some of the load and your body get past the healing then look out...kaboom!  You'll catch yourself walking faster than anyone else & will think why are they going so slow?

For some of us, it take a while. I was exhausted until about the six month mark.

I'm glad to hear that I'm not doing something wrong.  I'm exhausted, but I'm getting my water/protein/vitamins in.  The biggest problem that I have experienced is that I was taken off of my Meloxicam, arthritis medicine, 5 days before surgery and have nothing to replace it. My knee is absolutely killing me.  Even though I have lost almost 40 pounds, it's just not enough to relieve my pain.  My question is, will I really lose enough weight to take the strain off my knees?
