Two week pre-op diet!

So I'm 11 days away from surgery! It's soooo close!

Anyway, I started my pre-op diet on Tuesday. It's been ok so far. You never realize how much food surrounds you until you can't have any of it! The first 2 days were sooo hard. First day I had so many cravings and I was just extremely hungry all day. The second day I had headaches all day. Yesterday it got a little better. I didnt really get hungry during the day, but it's probably because I was distracted with work. Today was the same.

My question is...how much weight did everyone else lose during their pre-op diet?

I think I lost around 10 pounds on the 2 week diet and another 5 at my one week post-op appointment. Good luck. You're doing great. I know.how tough it is but just keep focussed on your surgery and know.that the surgery will go better if you stick to your diet.

I'm 11 days out as well! Very anxious, but hopefully ready. My Dr didn't require a 2 week pre-op diet,

just 2 days before surgery an all clear liquid diet. I think Im going to do a protein shake diet 1 week b4

to help adjust my mind & body to low eating.

I lost 12 pounds during my two week liquids, then I lost 10lbs my first week after surgery. THEN stalled for two weeks haha I think everyone's body handles this differently. Good Luck to you!

Great job ! The more you can detox from sugar and carbs now, the easier your transition to a sleeved life will be.

I had a different pre-op experience than most. I didn't have to do the liquid diet mostly because I kept under 1,200 calories beginning with my 90 day supervised weight loss plan. I started the supervised wl plan on 10/1, started my formal "pre-op" 4/1 with surgery on 4/13. From 10/1-4/13, I lost over 60 lbs.

I'm 100% convinced that the work you are willing to do pre-surgery will set you up for greater success post-surgery. Be good to yourself.

I lost 28, but I was having trouble tolerating the protein shakes. I lost another 9 lbs the first week post surgery. I am now three weeks post sleeve and recovery from surgery has been much easier than I expected with exception of now needing to have my gallbladder removed

During my 2-week liquid diet I lost 22 lbs. Not too shabby, but my starting weight was pretty high.
