Heart Procedure

Good Afternoon fellow VSGers. I just wanted to ask for you to all keep me in your thoughts and prayers if you do pray. I have to go in for a 2nd cardiac ablation Nov 19th. I have an irregular heart beat and can not tolerate any medications for the arrhythmia, so the only other option is to go in and burn the cells that are causing the irregular beats. I've had this done before (March of this year) but it didn't work. My heart dr assured me that he would be able to get it without problem this time. During the first procedure there is a 50/50 chance that they don't get all of the cells... Thanks!

Hi Crystal!

I will definitely say prayers for you! I have afib...persistent afib and it is a constant concern. Sometimes my heart goes crazy beating, but other times it is fine.

They have not offered an ablation for me nor have I asked. I am just not ready for any surgical intervention. I have heard ablations can be very effective, but like in your case you may have to have multiple ablations before they take.

My BIL had to have two ablations but the second time worked like a charm. I hope and will pray it works as well for you.
