Diet confusion- kinda lengthy

I found that my appetite increased over time, and I had to increase my calories to match my appetite, as well.  So I'd say this is normal.  I think 750 calories a day is about right for 10 weeks post op. - Its about where I was, anyway.

I'd suggest stocking healthy snacks.  Then you can add snacks that are low calorie, resolve the hunger and still lose weight.  I make a broccoli slaw that I use for snacks, and eat cucumbers and red and green peppers with a little humus for snacks.

Good luck,

Carol

This is probably not related to your feelings of hunger, but you mentioned episodes of dizziness. Your blood pressure may have dropped after surgery. Mine dropped so low at 6 weeks post-op that I nearly passed out a few times. My doctor took me off my BP med. No problems since.

It could be acid- it mimics hunger for us. Try an acid reducer (omnaprozole or something)
