I'm a little over a year out.  And I still think this was the best thing I've EVER done for myself!!  Over the last 3 months I let carbs slip back in.  That allowed me to gain 6 lbs.  I was actually really depressed about that.  So, last week I decided it was time to detox the carbs out.  I feel SO much better and have managed to lose 2 of the lbs. that I gained.  I still would like to lose another 39 lbs.  I'm motivated again and plan to stick to it!!!  I rarely post here any more.  But I still come in and read all the posts.  You all are AMAZING!!

Good for you for recognizing and correcting the problem. If I could, I'd like to add a point of clarification on what you said and that is you let extra carbs in, which led to you consuming many extra calories. I add this merely to inform others that carbs don't make you gain weight, it's calories (carbs, protein and/or fat) that make us heavier.

I am in the same boat, although a little further out and a bit less to lose.  But I am trying to fight the carb monster too.  It is hard.  Congrats to you for seeing the problem and tackling it head on.  Good luck to you.
