Surgery Scheduled! VSG on Sept. 27, 2016

After years and years of yo-yo'ing and a final six months of waiting, I've been approved and scheduled for VSG surgery on Tuesday, September 27, 2016!

When I saw the surgeon's phone number come up on my screen this morning, I was immediately excited and scared all at the same time.  As the nurse told me that I had been approved and the surgery date was set, I began to get really nervous as the reality of "this is finally going to happen" set in.

Now starts the two week pre-op diet, a pre-op appointment, setting up my leave at work, and just generally getting ready for this huge life change that's about to come my way.

Reading the posts and responses in this board has really eased my level of comfort and I'm excited to take on this new journey.  I've never had "real" surgery before (other than wisdom teeth) but it's time for me to do this.  I have a great surgeon and team, the support of my family & friends, and most of all, I'm ready for it.

Great news!!!     It will be here before you know it. 

I'm two weeks and a day after you.

Congrats! I had mine on the 9th. Was sore for the first two days, but today I don't have a lot of pain. Good luck!

Congrats on taking this exciting step! The two weeks will go faster than you will believe. I had mine on 9/6. I am already starting to feel great. No pain meds today at all.

I am excited that my daughter will be having hers on the 27th as well. I will keep you in my prayers as I pray for her over the next two weeks.

Congratulations! We are sleeve twins! I'll be sleeved on the 27th also! Finally! I'm on my pre-op diet right now,  fortunately is a real food pre-op diet and not liquid. Making it easier for me to stick to it! But I wish you good luck. And look. Forward to seeing you on the losers bench!
