I started my pre-op liquid diet today and the stuff is making me nauseous! Anyone else have this issue? I'm hoping it will go away with a little time. I am happy to have made it to this next step though. Surgery date 10/12!!

Find a brand you can stomach. You're going to be drinking them for quite a while.

Have to drink the shakes from my surgeons office. Can't change. Today was a little better.

Getting ready to start my pre-op Saturday, feeling very anxious, what are some of things people did to keep busy and not eat?  Need help but I must do this!

What "stuff"? Protein shakes? Broth? Jello? If it's the shakes, try changing brands. Or is it a mental thing?

I have to drink shakes, soups, pudding and bars from my surgeons office. Today is a little better so maybe it was just the drastic change of the first day.

Yeah, it's not what your brain wants either. I was the opposite. I was fine at first but the last few days I didn't want anything!

I had to drink the shakes provided by my surgeon's office and they were gross to me.  It helped to add some things I was allowed like cocoa powder or PB2.  It also helps if you drink them through a cup/mug with a covered top so you don't smell them so much.  The first few days were the worst for me then I kind of got used to them.  Still didn't like them but was able to tolerate.  I have not even thought about trying that brand again since surgery.  If you are allowed different brands that may be your option.  Hang in there.  It gets much better.

Sorry. The Slim Fast protein shakes make me nauseated but Premiere Protein (more expensive, better numbers) is just fine. I would try other products or even other flavors if you can.
