Day 4 Post op and I'm feeling a lot better. I'm beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel lol however I'm having a hard time drinking my fluids. I can't tolorate the broths I'm doing ok with water and sugar free jello and popsicles. Anything salty seems to not be working. I'm not sure if it's the broth any recommendations as to what else I can drink?! Thanks.

Try some decaf tea. It worked great for me.

That worked for me too. I'd make it by the pitcher at home and lived on it for the first 3 months or so.

My nutritionist said I could have crystal light or any sugar free, non carbonated, non caffeinated drink. I didn't drink them though because I can't stand sugar free. It was water for me.

I am also 4 days post op and had the opposite problem. Water was really hard to drink at first. Popsicles were too sweet. I switched to warm broth and was able to sip that. I am trying to get as much water as possible, but it hasn't been easy. My surgeon's office recommended I switch to creamy soup early and it has made all the difference. Warm has been the best temperature for me to drink liquids.

Water was my biggest challenge too. There are different varieties of herbal teas that might help. But if you're water is good, then don't stress because that's the #1 priority at this point. You can branch out later.
