Good morning from Los Angeles!!
QOTD: I have one of the best weekends in awhile. I did a turn-around trip from LA to Fresno with a friend to watch his son play a College Football game. The game was HORRID, but the company was wonderful. We stopped at a BBQ place in Bakersfield and it was DELICIOUS! I had looked at the menu so I knew my choices going in.
1st Meal: Coffee; 1/2 Quest bar
2nd Meal: 2 Boiled eggs; 4-5oz Cantaloupe
3rd Meal: 5oz Chicken "spaghetti cause" over 2oz Zoodles
4th Meal: Premier Protein Shake pre-workout
5th Meal: Salmon; Spinach
Water: 25oz out of 75oz goal
Vitamins: On deck
Workout: 30min on Treadmill followed by 60 min Yoga

Fortunately for me I never really had major acid reflux. I have a bought of it about the 5 year mark but it was specifically related to a particular brand of coffee.

Yes yes and I KNEW that...this last promotion took my 20lb regain and jumped it to 50, but the fight is still in me.
Always good to see us oldies still around and giving information, support and feedback!

Unfortunately there are NO guarantees and being that you are a revision the guarantees are even more sporadic. I agree that it could be acid. I know that about the 5 year mark I was having acid attacks that FELT like hunger and even know when I feel "hungry" it's actually acid.
I wish I could sooth your anxiety but it might be something you have to learn to manage with time and the ability to eat.

When I initially met with my surgeon my surgery was to be scheduled in January. They called a few days later with a cancellation and that day was 11/26, the Monday after Thanksgiving. Luckily my surgeon only required 1 day of full liquids. They allowed me to think about it because after all it was the middle of the Holidays.
After a day I JUMPED at the opportunity to start my new life on 11/26/07 and I haven't looked back or regretted it since.

Hey sweetie yesss those years get away don't they!! Almost my 11th year in this game and bringing myself back to what I KNOW works. You'll see me around and posting!

Interesting twist and I LOVE it. I know that IF daily is good and once I get BACK into my grove I'll implement it. Right now I think I'm at 12hr fasting with a 12hr eating window. I start usually 7am when I get to work and end 7pm when I'm home, this isn't set quite yet because I'm feeling my way again!!

EXACTLY!! Us oldies fell off.

Thanks I'll keep that in mind. Right now I'm playing around with things and seeing where I'll end up. I went YEARS with a "no" list and crashed and burned. For me a little once every blue moon won't hurt BUT being aware that if I don't see the results I want there are things that I need to revisit.

Great reminder!! I used to have a drawer with this, looks like it's time to bring it back.
I literally cannot drink after I eat unless I wait and depending on the density of my meals it could be 30 minutes or an hour OR MORE because when I do it's almost an immediate vomit. Yesterday I left early which was probably a good 1 1/2 hours after lunch so I took a sip of water and I'm glad it was a little sip because I felt that uncomfortable feeling of IF you drink more you'll vomit.


When last I posted I realized how MUCH I ate and that I didn't eat my protein FIRST a rule I was very adamant about those first few years. Thanks to the young lady who posted and called me out because I had "lowkey" forgot that RULE!!
Anyway so as I prepared my lunch for today I decided to follow my old rules which was to weigh and measure everything. My total lunch was 10oz (5oz fish, 3oz veggie, 2oz rice) and I finished it all and I'm comfortably full and satisfied.
As I reviewed my blog an old friend of mine Frisco told me to practice "under eating" my sleeve. What he suggested was taking what I'm comfortable with and decreasing it to see if I'm satisfied with less. Tomorrow my lunch will be 8oz I'm going to go with 5oz fish (the fillet are already cut); 2oz veggie; 1oz rice.
I'd also LOVE if you all remind this oldie about some rules you have or WLS rules you follow? I remember
1) Don't drink your calories (unless it's a meal replacing protein shake)
2) Protein FIRST (don't know how/why I stopped doing that it really DOES fill you up)
3) No carbonated beverages (for the most part I still do this one).
Please help an oldie out!!


QOTD: What is something not many people know about you? My life is pretty transparent, but people actually think I'm an only child but I have 8 other siblings!
All meals will be protein first. Trying to remember the rules and how I ate before. My meals now have more "balance" to them.
1st Up: Coffee w/protein bar
2nd Up: 3 boiled eggs; 3 bacon strips; nectarine
3rd Up: 5oz fish; 3oz zucchni; 2oz rice
4th Up: Wendy's large chili w/cheese
