Whew! So, from what I understand, I need to cut out fats and add good fish type fats and oils to lower the triglycerides and raise the HDL. Right? I don't know if I need a supplement for the Vitamin A or if I need to somehow lower the Vitamin B12. But overall, I think I'm doing pretty well. I had a pretty severe Vit D deficiency pre-op, so I'm pleased with how that has raised. It could be higher, I think.

Opinions? Advice?

These look pretty dang good to me! You're doing something right. You can also help your cholesterol with exercise. Don't go too low fat, your body needs fat to help transport vites. You might want to start adding Morton's Lite Salt, sea salt and low sodium V8 juice--potassium needs a little boost.Your protein markers (protein serum and albumin) are very nice. If you want to help you liver, you might want to start taking milk thistle (Vitalady, VitaminShoppe, etc.) Iron and ferritin are getting a little saggy but your hemoglobin and hematocrit are still very nice. Vitalady's Tender iron may help with those and/or Proferrin. Don't worry about the B12 being a little high, we want it high because it can drop like rock. Let's watch the folate (folic acid) you don't want it to get any lower. Vit D3 looks like it's coming up nicely. Vitamin A needs some work. Best bet for getting the right stuff (Vitamin A (Palmitate) is Vitalady. You might also want to look at vitamins K1 and K2 while you're shopping at Vitalady.com .  It would be good next time if they added PTH (parathyroid hormone) to your labs and selenium.

I think that's all I see. Keep up the good work.

Your cholesterol and triglycerides do need help.  I don't know if you are on medication or not but you can try taking Omega 3's - if you go to GNC - they have chewables, like starburst - you will absorb these easily.  I think there is also something that I have seen many others talk about Cora=Mega that is a powder that you add to water. I think you can get it vitalady.com.

Your B12 is perfect.  We want our levels to be high - between 1200-1800 and can actually go up to 2000.  We just pee out the excess.  There is no danger in going too high.  Many have levels over 2000 with no problems.  So, just continue what you are doing and even if you go up, that is fine.

Your vitamin D isnt' bad and if you were deficient preop - that is good that it is going up. You might want to increase your dose a bit - not sure what you are taking now.  If you are taking the 50,000 unit Dry D3's - I would add one more per week.

Your vitamin A is seriously deficient.  We want to be atleast in the middle or bit higher but definitely not at the bottom.  When I was diagnosed vitamin A deficient, I was put on Dry vitamin from biotech 25,000 units daily which you can get at vitalady.com.  I took them for about 2 months and got retested and found out that the dose wasn't enough, so I had to increase to 50,000 units daily.  So, I would start at 25,000 units daily and get rechecked in 2months.  It is very important to stay on top of vitamin A, you don't too high or too low.  Too high can lead to vision problems - not sure about too high.  Also, make sure you continue carefully monitor all your b12, b1 and folate - I recently found out that vitamin a can affect these levels. It hasnt' affected mine but apparantly has in many others.

You are missing selenium, magnesium, copper, PTH, vitamin E, vitamin K

Thank you so much for your suggestions. I'm glad to know the Omega 3's will help. I have some ready to order from Bariatric Advantage. I didn't know the Vit A was that serious, so I will look into the Biotech and see if I can get some soon. It's amazing how much these vitamins affect us.

Yeah, I noticed some minerals and vitamins were missing from my report. I know they did them. There are some pages missing so I figure they probably forgot to print them for me. I'll talk to them when I'm there Monday.

Thanks again!!
