A back scratcher. Really. :)  It will not only help you scratch your back but help you reach for things on your tables.

Bring less stuff rather than more stuff.  Hopefully, you won't be there very long.
I did like my own pillow, but that was it.

Lip balm but not petroleum based.
Gas X
Have a pillow for the ride home cause even lap, the ride can be painful
Leave the laptop at home...maybe a smart phone or tablet but I had both and almost didn't use them at all...used my phone cause it was lighter.
Only clothes I had were the clothes I wore to the hospital and a clean pair of underwear for each day.
You also need to pack stuff in case you start your period (if of the right age).

Oh this is too funny!!! I just wrote you on the other thread about what to take to the hospital! LOL!!!

Yes, the pillow and a tooth brush. Very loose fitting clothes because you will be swollen for several days and it will just feel better. But I didn't touch hardly anything I took. I didn't have a smart phone or Ipad at the time but maybe the smart phone would have been fun to play a game but honeslty I just slept, enjoyed the peace and quiet that my hospital truly gave me, and walked and walked. The first day or however long it is that you are dry, the lip balm helps, but that's why I say just enjoy the meds so you sleep that first 12-18 hours and nothing is a problem.

Good thinking about the period stuff but if you don't take it they have all the great stuff at the hospital. Unless you prefer a tampon, they usually only have pads. I was into menopause, and I had a full blown period about 2 weeks after surgery. I've since read that is common because the hormones from the rapid weight loss kick in. Amazing eh?

I knew I was safe from starting a period...had my uterus removed back i*****and actually had gone thru menopause by the time I had my surgery...they can do blood tests to check that.

I took tons of stuff and never opened by bag until the morning I was leaving to find my hairbrush.  I could have brought nothing and been fine.
