It should get better pretty quickly from here on. If it doesn't, don't be afraid to call your surgeon...that's why they get the big bucks. :)  Hang in there.

The first days can be rough while you are feeling like you have been run over by a truck.  But it gets better pretty quickly and once you are home, that will make a tremendous difference.  Take your pain meds if you need to. Rest, sip, walk, repeat. A week will make a huge difference.

I had a few of those moments the first week. It gets easier and I have never regretted this decision. Even on the worst days! The first week is hard between the recovery and learning to drink again. I swear once I transitioned to soft foods, my mood improved immeasurably. You made the right decision...just hang on and soon all will be better!

I had absoluetly no doubts  before surgery but within the first week I had buyers remorse big time. My Dr. was so surprised when I went for my first Appt.
That is a perfectly normal reaction but it will pass. Take it slow and give your body (and mind) time to adjust.
If you have time start a journal of your feelings and experiences. It is strange how much you forget after the pounds start coming off and the WOWS begin.

God is walking with me every step of the way. Because of HIM this is possible!!
