    Aggravated

Decided to call the surgeon's office because I still haven't heard back about my sleep apnea test.  Office tells me I have to go AGAIN for another sleep study (CPAP test) because I only have mild sleep apnea and low BMI (38.4).  I hated that stupid test to begin with, I couldn't even sleep.

    Did I say @#$%^%$#@???

    Feh.

Oh yuck.  I was afraid they would make me to the test again to prove I didn't have sleep apnea anymore but they didn't.  You are right, the test is a night from hell.  I'm sorry you have to do it again but hopefully it will get you approved.

You gotta do it. Prop your head up on the pillows and sleep on your back.

Yes Mam.  Pillows are an idea I might bring mine from home. Still gonna mutter.   I know if I sleep on my back my throat is sore and dry so that's the ticket.

    Teri,
Hate you have to do this, but just jump through the hoops for them and you will be so happy later on!!  I've had about 4 sleep studies over the years and I know they are not fun.
    Good luck.

I know. Still not a happy camper
Awe, sorry you have to go through this again. I fortunately had a 40BMI so I didn't have to do many tests.

It will be worth if it helps you get approved.

God is walking with me every step of the way.  Because of HIM this is possible!!

    Thanks Roz.
I also had a hard time sleeping the first time I did the study, and even though I didn't feel like I slept at all they said I didn't have any apnea. I was about to be denied approval for surgery (also 38 bmi), but the doc said for me to do the sleep study again just in case. The second time I took Benadryl to knock me out and slept fine. I have moderate apnea and was approved for RNY later this month.

Annoying, but you never know. Probably not the most frustrating thing you'll encounter as you navigate this whole process so just try to relax and stay positive. Good luck!
Benadryl is a good idea it's the only med that knocks me out!

    Good luck on your surgery!

    Thanks everyone

My biggest problem is my lower back kills me when I sleep on my back.I'm going to try pillows and Benadryl and since it's a hospital bed maybe I can futz around with it and get some sleep. The other problem is I have to work the next day.

    Feh.
