Really glad you all warned me about the "3 week stall"...and a one month update

So, of course, you all were right.  I am sitting at 28 lbs lost, and Saturday will be 1 month post-op...but I would love to be at 30 pounds for the one month mark. (Don't be harsh, I know 28 is amazing) but the Lord is teaching me patience...no weight loss this week.  I know it could still happen by Saturday, but a little doubtful at this point.

I am getting just about 30 grams of protein on a good day, but so far I haven't found any protein shakes that are going down good, so I have to depend on the food to get it in.  Of course, that is easier said than done, since I am still limited to about 4 bites of food at any given time. I am very thankful that I am finally able to get my 64 ounces of fluid in...however I am sure you guys would scold me...I am only able to drink flat Sprite Zero...NOTHING else seems to work, and causes a LOT of pain in my tummy.  Hoping this gets better cause I really hate drinking soda.

Other than that...thank you for all your support and words of advice...I would be lost without the Lightweight Board! :)

IF flat Sprite Zero is all that works, go for it...however about once a week try something else...at some point you may succeed. Try different temps, different flavors. I suspect a lemon/lime combo would work given it somewhat replicates sprite. And your taste will change.

Eating will get easier as you go. And keep trying different shakes/etc. Another option is to add protein powder to other foods to boost what you get thru food.

Good going!

Yes, I agree with Liz that any fluid is better than no fluid but keep trying. You don't want to be stuck on flat sprite forever.   As time goes on, you really want to up your protein and fluid.  I double Liz in adding protein powder to your food.  If you are eating pudding, yogurt, cottage cheese, creamed soups, you can add protein powder to it.  If you can keep up your protein level, I think you are less likely to stall.  I slowed down around 5 months but I never went a week without losing.  Some folks have to do protein like medicine.  Just get it in.  Hold your nose and do it.  I still don't like ready made shakes.  I love some of the ones I mix.  I love my hot chocolate protein and my lemon tea and caribbean cooler drinks.  There are so many ways to get protein in, you just need to keep trying until you find something that works.  You don't have to be thrilled with it, just get it in.  Order samples from Vitalady.  She has hundreds it seems and something will work for you.

Ugh, I stalled around that time too.  The losing will continue!  Good luck and congratulations on getting all your fluids in!  That's great!
