Carb-loving but fast metabolism- scared to mess with it

Now that I'm living with a new boyfriend ( ten years younger than me and ripped as can be ) I can conclusively say that I have a FAST metabolism .  He works physically all day ( he's a carpenter) and I EASILY eat two or three times more calories than he does every single day ... and somehow get away with it .

I'd LOVE to lose ten or even fifteen more pounds and keep them off - but realistically I don't want mess up what works .  We have a housemate who is constantly on a diet - and he regains every pound the second he goes off his gluten-free low carb regimen.  I also find his virtually all- meat diet revolting - I am a partial vegetarian by preference .

Being in LSAT prep right now ( pre  law school) and managing a working farm that recently went nonprofit nonprofit I'm also inundated with mind-requiring activities such as tax appeals construction and accounting ... and I would find it VERY hard to perform without a high blood sugar level ( constant snacking ) .

My long term solution might be to get the hunger -causing empty fat cells once again sucked off ( it worked very well twice before ) and then make running, rollerblading  or swimming laps a daily first activity .

What do you guys think based on your own experience ? I am so NOT a dieter - and really NEED to be super-skinny for the camera. Thanks Ava

Ava my dear - how have you been???? :)

Sounds to me like you need to cut back on your calories.  Keep your percentages of fat/carbs/protein in line with your calories and it sounds to me like it should just fall off you!  I know you like to do low-fat...

I do low-carb - but I know it's not for everyone.  I've put some weight back on too :( and need to get motivated to get it off.

Folks WILL regain after doing low-carb (how many times did I do that pre-WLS?) if they don't stick with that lifestyle.  I also know folks who low-carb can eat more calories and lose weight.

I just need to step away from the carbs myself....

Why are you doing an LSAT prep course?  Was your initial score to low to get accepted?
