October 12, 2006...the day I had the lap band procedure performed...marks the beginning of my new life.My name is Tonja Muret and I lead the 'Band of Distinction' support group at INTEGRIS Baptist Medical Center. Our goal for having a 'band' specific support group is to try to get down to the nitty-gritty on answering questions about this specific weight loss surgery type. We have a great time and you are assured to have a good laugh while you are there and probably make a new friend or two.

I am so happy these days , it is not only the weight loss , it is just feeling better physically and emotionally. I am 2 months out and through the whole process i have lost 33 lbs. I am approaching...
