Surgeon Testimonial George G. Zorn M.D. Dr. Zorn is the greatest! I immediately felt at ease with him and the way he treated me. I'm very impressed with PacBar's whole attitude about morbid obesity! I had a great experience with the crew at PacBar too. They didn't even seem to mind all the nagging phone calls to see if I had a date yet! lol Dr. Zorn's wonderful wife was my OR nurse and she is very sweet. Of course she has a great name and that is part of it (Becky) lol She was very nurturing and caring and I felt so at ease in her care! My incisions are small and nice and I never felt like I had surgery, so I think Dr. Zorn did a brilliant job!! The staff at Scripps Mercy hospital were great too! I had excellent nurses and enjoyed my stay there. The private rooms are great and very accomidating for MO patients. I was very pleased with my whole surgery experience! Thank you Dr. Zorn, thank you to his lovely wife~Becky, and thank you to all of my great nurses who made the experience a great one! I am totally happy with my whole experience!!! I give you all an A+!!!! Thank you Dr. Zorn for saving my life! I will be forever grateful to you and God!!! Member Interests

My Story
"Only I own the definition of who I am" Montel Williams Aug. 2006 Hi, my name is Becky and I am 41 years old. I have been overweight all of my adult life. I have a wonderful husband, Mike, and we have been married for 23 years. We have two beautiful daughters...Kayla is 17 and a senior in high school, and Tara is 14 and a freshman in high school. I love being a mom, though of course very challanging, and am very proud of what our daughters are becoming! My husband and I are very close and are still very much in love after all these years! I truly believe we are soulmates, and we are definitely best friends! He loves me the way I am, but I know he will love me even more when I look like I did when he met me (when I was 16). They are all 3 very supportive of me having WLS if it's what I want. I am in a 6 month class through Kaiser that ends on Feb.22, 2007 so I'm guessing my surgery will be end of March or beginning of April 2007. My birthday is March 30 so what a great present that will be!!! My rebirthday and birthday on the same day would be awesome!! I am very excited, but of course a little nervous. It took me 3 years of thinking about it to make the final decision and I'm glad I did. I can't wait to be healthy again and be able to enjoy life! I have a whole lot of health issues that I am ready to be done with... diabetes (meds only), high blood pressure, high cholesterol, sleep apnea, osteoarthritis in my knees that require cortisone shots to function, a massive hernia that has been operated on twice and returned bigger than ever (makes me look like a freak!), possible fibromyalgia, and of course depression and panic attacks. Can't wait to say goodbye to all of that!!!!I am in a great class at Kaiser and we are all very excited to be on this journey together. I think we will be friends for life. I am already very good friends with one of them, Jolene, and I know we will be friends for life. We are getting close to a couple others too! I feel I have been blessed by God with the friends I'm making in my class and here on OH. My life is already changed because of this wealth of love and support! I love music of all kinds, reading, and spending time with my family. I don't have a lot of hobbies now because I have no motivation, but I know that will change. And of course none of this would be possible without God in my life. With Him all things are possible and I know he is guiding me every step of the way! God is in Control!!![]() |
