Hello 2015 THIS TIME this will finally be my time..

well, here we are in april of 2015 and i am still PRE op. but all that aside i can say that i am in the right direction. i was denied by my previous insurance. so in january i joined on to my new insurance and found a surgeon. ( i should mention that once i was denied in august i began a 6 mont hpre op supervised diet with my PCP because i knew my insurance would require this once i switched plans) so fast forward to march of 2015. i completed my 6 month diet and thought i would be having surgery in a few months once i picked the right surgeon and got all the pre work up things handled. BOY was i in for a rude awakening. i found my perfect surgeon and hospital and staff. met and had an amazing consultation. all just to find out that my former PCP failed to document ANY of the 6 month supervised diet and could not retrieve my files due to a falling out with their previous office location.....my heart shattered and once again i had to pick my self up off the floor....so here we are RE DOING another 6 month diet...the only benefit is that i am now doing it through my Bariatric surgeons office so i know it will be done correctly....
the worst part of all of this...is that i was supposed to undergo brain surgery for my Chiari Malformation condition in june, but i convinced my doctors to hold off and let me try gastric bypass first in a final attempt to relieve the pressure on my brain...so im so worried that when i see my neurosurgeon in June, he will not be willing to hold off on the brain surgery until i complete ANOTHER 6 month diet...it really isnt safe to play this waiting game with my brain. but im 24 years old and i cant see myself undergoing brain surgeries for the rest of my life every few years...( which is what happens to most patients who undergo the operation) so idk...sorry for the rant but needed some form of an outlet....ill try to write regularly to keep track of my progress more..hopefully if everything goes well i will be having my surgery right around my 25th birthday in november...i dont want to jinx it but i have my fingers crossed so tightly that things finally fall into place. im so tired of living everyday in pain :(
