Gary Belzberg, M.D.
First impression: He's highly intelligent and competent, a straight shooter who doesn't beat around the bush. This is a mixed blessing. He's not going to sugar coat what he thinks. He'll be supportive of your choices, but expect to have to explain & justify them, especially if your surgery isn't the one he would have chosen. If you're the sensitive type who has a thin skin, his manner of communicating may difficult for you. If you like your information straightforward and would rather know what he's thinking... that's exactly what you'll get.

His medical assistant was very sweet, nice, and friendly.

I look forward to having him take care of me.

I love rock & roll, country, and lots of other music. I'm a conservative liberal, an objective relativist,a communal individualist, a spiritual, sensual, science minded, realistic optimist. I am simplistically paradoxically enigmatic. Understood?

I'm a substitute teacher and a wanna be professional poker player. I'm in the midst of writing my first novel, a YA I'm describing as Harry Potter meets Twilight meets Night of the living Dead. I have seven kids age 5-almost 22. I've been fat since I was a baby. My mother tells a story of feeding me 12 pancakes for breakfast one day when I was two. My CW is 258. I have Kaiser insurance. I hope to get the Duodenal Switch surgery, but they only cover the DS and VSG. So right now I'm not sure which one I'll ultimately wind up having.

My favorite TV shows include Fringe, Criminal Minds, Buffy, House, and Ghost Whisperer.
My favorite authors are Christine Feehan, Laurel K. Hamilton, Terry Brooks, Piers Anthony, Anne McCafferey, Andre Norton, and Angela Knight.
