Getting Closer!

Hey my OH family,

I have some exciting news to share with you guys! I went and had my consultation with my surgeon and discussed all my opitioms and I have decided that RNY is the surgery for me after considering VSG. So many things are running through my mind but surprisingly enough doubt is not one of them. I know that this tool is going to help me change my life and become the person I have always yearned to be. I need this, I want this, and I will have this. Nothing is going to stop me.... my surgeon found out I was as moker and told me that he would not operate on me if I continued, boom smoking DONE! simple as that.....

So my next step is a pre-op appointment with my PCP and I have to get some lab work done after, the surgeon told me that they were all booke dup for January so my surgery would probably be in Febuary, I was shocked....everyhting is happening sooooo fast! After I get my lab test done, they will submit to insusrance and then my date will be set. WoW! Its is crazy 2011 is my year!!! Words can't express my excitment and joy, I have a solid support system and I am ready for this!

The only thing that I am kind of on the fence about is if I should or should not tell my boss the real resaon (WLS) for my absebce when I need the time off. I am really torn on what I should do, if you have adivice I would love to hear it. And also, approximetly how much time did you need to take off work after surgery, all comments and advice is appreciated. And if you have and questions, please feel free to ask me... I am here to help any way I can.
