I'm back and its for real- this time

 Hey OH family, like the title of this blog states- I'm Back! The last time I was on here it was over a year ago and I was in the process of trying to get approved for Gastric Bypass. Well a lot of stuff has changed since then but not the goal that I had to get WLS. 

Let take it back to 2011- I was married to my now ex, it was a long 6 year relationship that had a lot of good times but also its fair share of bad. We were young when we got together but we were in love, I stuck by him through all his bullshit- including problems with the law. He was an alcoholic and I thought I could "fix" him, I went through a lot to say the least but it made me who I am today- so I regret nothing. He didn't fully support my decision to get WLS, I think a big part of it was that he was comfortable with me being fat... So I didn't go through with the surgery knowing that I didn't have a solid support system at home. Fast forward to September 2011- So I come home one day from work and see this instant message open on our computer, as I walk over to see what it is; my husband rushes to the computer in an attempt to close it and prevent me from seeing it. At that point I already saw what it was along with the half naked female in it- I told him to leave because it was clear to me that he was up to no good... long story short he had be on dating websites soliciting himself as a single father looking for a "no strings attached" relationship. That was enough for me to put in an end to my marriage, I was unhappy for a long time so working on it was out of the question. I am OK with my decision and haven't felt this good in a long time.

Now that I am only living for myself and my 2 year old angel baby- it is my time! I called my surgeons office and asked if we could pick up where we left off back in 2011... they had me come in for another consultation since so much time had passed- after that they submitted my information to my insurance and a week later I got a call that I had been approved!! My surgery is scheduled for April 9,2012!! I am so happy and I am certain that waiting until now to go through with it was the best thing that i could have done. Things happen for a reason and God is good!
