Three days sleeved

Hi again, I was sleeved on November 21st with Dr. Aceves in Mexicali, CA.  It was quite a difficult decision for me because although overweight for the great part of my life, I was fine with it, that is until my back pain started to take a turn for the worse, sleep apnea and my knees got worse.  It was more of a health decision rather than a luxury such as a breast augmentation.  Saturday and Sunday were pretty bad days for me with dry heaves on and off.  The blue liquid taste like grape juice which wasn't bad at all.  On Monday, I did the drink test to see my new stomach and as ridiculous as it sounds, I started crying.  Seeing the new x-ray just really knocked me into reality.  I couldn't believe what I had done to myself.  Dr. Campos and Dr. Aceves at Almater were amazing as they comforted me and reassured me that in 3 months I'd be singing a different tune.  In the evening both doctors came to my room to check on how I was feeling and again reassured me that I had made the right decision.  I knew then that by selecting Dr. Aceves and Dr. Campos as my doctors was the best decision possible.  

I am three days out and this is day two of my liquid diet.  I've been surrounded by a lot of temptation. I never realized the key role that food plays in our lives, celebrations, television, billboards etc.  I've been slowly progressing and doing my best to avoid the evil temptations of steak, chicken, bread, potatoes, Twinkies which should be quite interesting especially with Thanksgiving around the corner.  Can you believe I am actually looking forward to the puree stage?  Now you know I'm desperate! LOL
