I still think I am big. I just can't get it outta my head. But take a look at this! Before and after. Now I see it, I just hope my brain registers it. LOL I am so happy that I made the choice to have RNY. This has been the best thing ever.

Update!
on December 6, 2009 10:24 pm

Well, what to say? I am just about at my goal weight. I have never felt better. I am 145lbs now. Down about 130 lbs. I wonder how much more I will lose? I still think I am fat in my brain. I still have to look in the mirror for it hit me. I am sure thiss will pass in time. I hope you are all doing well out there.

Hugs,
Dawn

I still think I am fat in my head but I guess not as I am being told I need to stop losing weight. I am in juniors clothes and some misses. Here is a recent pic from Halloween.

Almost 3 months post op
on June 14, 2009 8:51 am

I am down just about 65 lbs. What a change this has been! I have been riding a bike and walking all over town when I am on my breaks at work. I want to go to the gym but I am still nervous about it. My friends are amazed. My husband is worried I am going to leave him. I don't know what else to say except I am just so happy I had WLS!!!!

My Story

My name is Dawn. I have been heavy my whole life. My highest weight being 283, I am currently 260 lbs. I have a very supportive husband, who is worried about the WLS. He doesn't want to lose me. I told him that the pro's outweight the cons. I want to be able to play with my kids and see them grow up and have families of their own. I have tried everything from Jenny Craig to Weight Watchers and I even did the b-12 shots and phentermine, and phen-phen when it was available. I have gotten down to 180lbs when doing these diets but always gained it back plus a few extra.
