I made it! I am NO LONGER OBESE. I AM OVERWEIGHT. I never dared to hope this day would actually arrive but it has. My BMI is now 29.8 and I couldn't be happier.Yesterday I stopped in at the Salvation Army (I know, I know - get past it) and their special of the week was buy two clothing items, get the third one free. I went to the dress section and started browsing through it for summer dresses. I found a 2 piece dress that has a beautiful floral print in the colours that I love. Here's the thing. It has no shoulders. It has a band which fits over your head and sits at the neck and the fabric of the front and back flows down like a triangle to the armpits.
It actually accents the fact that I have bony shoulders! I LOVE IT....AND...the fabric goes from my neck to just below my knees making me look ALMOST pencil thin. Now I just have to get me some nice underwear to hold the bits together just so and I'll be ready for a party this summer. WOOHOO!
Today Bert weighs 175.4 lbs. I have not weighed less than my husband almost since we met. My next mini goal is to weigh less than Bert. I don't know how long it will take to lose that 5 lbs but it doesn't matter. I'll do the work and wait for the results 'cause I AM GOING TO MAKE IT!
