Getting the ball rolling!

 Well, today I met with the nurse coordinator and scheduled appointments for the nutritionist, psychiatrist and surgeon, all within the next 2 weeks.  I have lots of homework:  labs to get done and a food log so I'll be a busy bee next week.  

I'm still not 100% sure which surgery I want.  I'm trying to decide between the Realize band or vertical sleeve.  

I've run into a bit of an obstacle with the psych clearance because the dr that typically sees everyone at this bariatric practice doesn't participate with my insurance, Tricare.  So, I have to either find a network psychiatrist who can/will handle the clearance (which causes a delay because of the paperwork having to cross more desks) or I can suck it up and pay out of pocket for the meeting with the psychiatrist.  Sigh.

I won't let it get me down, though.  I know it'll all get worked out.  I'm just excited to have finally decided to seek surgical help and wish I'd done so 10 years ago!  Of course, 10 years ago there weren't the same wonderful options so I guess I need to keep that in mind, right?

I still haven't figured out how to resize a photo to post on here.  Hopefully one of my kids can help me with that in the next couple of days.
