Almost 7 years have passed...

I had RNY Gastric Bypass surgery on November 5, 2008, it was my 46th birthday. My doctors had given me a two year death sentance. I weighed over 523 pounds and was on oxygen 24/7. Her it is now with my 53rd birthday quickly approaching and I have maintained a 300 pound weight loss. I am not at goal but I am ALIVE. I have done so much more in these past 7 years than I have done in the 46 years prior. I have been ziplining, I participated in a triathalon, I have completed 5 5K races and have two more coming in the next month. I went to college and obtained a Master degree in social work, and this is just the big things. Albany Medical Center and Dr Singh saved my life and because of that I am dedicated to helping others find a way to save their lives too.
