Hey Yall,

Its been almost a month since I last posted, forgive me. I have resumed my regular food diet and doing really well. I have lost a total of 38 pounds so far. I am so proud of myself .  I can honestly say that I make conscious efforts to monitor my food consumption, make better choices, and be more active. I haven't had a fill in my band yet, because I am still losing weight. Thus far, I have been able to tolerate the same foods I ate before without any problems. I do not deprive myself of foods that I like, however, I eat them in moderation. I haven't had a soda in 2 months. I have only eaten rice twice since my LAP BAND procedure. I do eat a slice of wheat toast in the morning for breakfast. The rest of the day is fruits, veggies, and protein. As much as I liked sweets before, I have lost a taste for them, I ate a pancake 3 weeks ago and the syrup made me sick.   I got a small taste of what "dumping" feels like.  Everyday its easier and easier for me to pass on breads, cookies, cakes, pastas, and pies.  My doctor said once I have my fill, pasta and bread may pose a problem, so he advised me not to get used to the slice of wheat bread. He also said that some proteins in our body need carbs, so he isn't supporting an Atkins type diet. I have fallen in love with fruits, veggies, and seafood. I have always liked those foods but I crave them now, the psychological changes we go thru as WLS patients is amazing.

My daughter and I did Zumba last week, we loved it. I will be modifying my evening schedule to include Zumba because its something we can do together.  I have been walking 3-5 times a week at work, and I love it. I put my headphones on and to to town. I need to incorporate some weekend activities for me and my baby. I need to get her a little slimmer too. I wish I had full body pics to post but I don't remember to take pics of myself like I should. I am brave enough to take a bathing suit pic, but not brave enough to POST it, yet. That's exactly what I will do, I have to purchase a swimsuit anyway because my doctor suggested that I take water aerobic classes to ease the pressure on my joints.  I forgot to take my measurements too, but I will do that this weekend. I saw a dress on Torrid.com that I will be purchasing to wear at a wedding in August. I have exactly 5 months to bang this thing out and I am going to do it. Its my inspiration and goal dress.  In August I am going to be ready to show some skin. Keep me prayed up family
My co-worker just said, "Kim, you coming on down"  Compliments give me a little boost.

I pray that if you are considering WLS or already had it, that you succeed in your goal to become healthier, active, and to lead a productive life. I wish you peace, love, and success.

Kind Regards,
Kimberly
