Finally Home....ugh!

Well I got home on Tuesday Oct.19th...finally. Surgery went well, no problems. Thank goodness. However, I did end up developing a high fever, vomitting and fluid on my lungs. I felt like I had been hit by a MAC truck! I couldn't stop vomitting, the pain killers ended up giving me wicked head aches after they wore off. My room mate had the same surgery and had brought her own food to the hospital. What a great idea! Honestly, I wish I had have thought of that. The food is the key ingredient to feeling better. So many drugs going into your system and not enough food to asborb them, is going to result in nausea.Needless to say, I'm glad I'm home eating food I like that is made at home. What a difference.
I have a ton of bruising..even going around on my back and I'm weak still.
But I'm sure in a few more days I should be feeling somewhat better.
I guess with great change comes some sacrifices and I only hope I'm on my way soon.
My weight was heavier than it was before surgery when I got home, I guess to water retention and the iv that ran 24/7 so I wouldnt get dehydrated. It's coming off the more I move around.
