1st Meeting

So I had my first meeting with my surgeon and dietitian today and would have to say that I was pleased.  Dr. Maher was highly recommended by several of my co-workers who had the lap band procedure done by him and he lived up to their praise.  I was shocked to find out that he wouldn't require me to lose 10lbs pre-op like I've heard so many ppl having to do in the past.  He only requested that I don't gain any weight....I can do it.  He also told me that after I have my psych visit that I could have my surgery scheduled two weeks after....sounds great right.  I'm thinking that I could have my surgery sometime in Jan, but that's not the case.  I called the psych office to schedule the appointment and because she is the only psych that works with WLS patients, she is booked until mid Feb.  Oh well I'm not mad though that just gives me time to try to lose more weight and build up my stock pile of protein powders.
