YAY! I did it!
on July 12, 2011 7:26 am
First goal accomplished, or will be in another 1.1 pounds... I wanted to lose 50 post surgery before my 20 year reunion, which is July 30, still 2 1/2 weeks away! I could get to 60lbs by then, which would make me at 100 pounds total weight loss. (Pre & post op) Sad thing is, it'll put me at only about 30-40 pounds lighter (I don't remember exactly what I weighed then) than my 10 year reunion, which aint looking like much at my size, but, I guess better than nothing. Going to that at 300-310 is waaaay better than going at 412 which is what I was at 8 months ago. I think I weighed 340-350 10 years ago. So, all in all, not so bad. If only the reunion was next summer... I'd be looking HOT!!

8 weeks post op
on June 27, 2011 10:30 pm
Wow. 8 weeks already, and 80 pounds gone. Wow. Gone by quick! I also just finished my first 'mod' at Everest college. 6 more to go! Kinda gotten into a routine with my protein shakes and small food meals. Have found a few things I can eat no problem, and a LOT of things my stomach does NOT like... kinda a bummer, but it's early yet. Have had a bit of fruit here and there just this week, super yum, but must be careful not to over do it. I still want salad, but wont attempt that just yet. I am just SO happy the scale is still moving on a somewhat consistant basis. LOVE it!! Went swimming today at my sister's complex, and the swimsuit I put on, from last summer, one of those little dress type suits is noticeably roomier... the skirt part, last year, just covered my rolls, stopped right past my crotch. Today, that thing was almost to my knees. I guess now that it's not having to stretch out over so many rolls... LOL And it's official, my boobs are definitely getting smalller, and some how, look longer... Longer is NOT a good thing! Thank god for good bras!

Phase 1, check, phase 2 started...
on June 4, 2011 10:10 am
Well, Monday willl be 5 weeks since my RNY, today I hit the 20 pound mark. Which, comparitively, I'm not really thrilled with, but I guess when you think about it in the 'real world' of diesting, 4 lbs a week is unheard of... so I'll be happy.
I also just finished my first week of 'going back to school' which is phase two of doing things for me in 2011. I'm enjoying it very much. And I took 2 tests both of which I got A's. So YAY, me!

3 weeks post op.
on May 23, 2011 4:51 pm
Three weeks post op and as of last Thursday I still hadn't lost anymore weight,... since then I haven't gotten on a scale. I decided I was just going to do what I knew to do and stay off the scale for a while. I think maybe next monday, it will be four weeks, I'll weigh then. I also realized that I have to get some more fiber in, so I bought some Fiber Choice chewable things which make me gag. No bueno. Today I found some gummies at Safeway....  I already tried them and they are not bad at all. Hopefully things will exit the bod a little easier ... next step is looking like stool softeners, and I'm not sure I need to be going there!

2 weeks post op.
on May 16, 2011 3:38 pm
Two weeks post op and still stuck, in fact this morning I was up about 2 pounds. WTF? I have been getting from the forum posts (that I'm addicted to reading) I really need to make sure I'm getting all my protein in and liquids so as of yesterday I'm writing everything down... I need to come up with some sort of check list for the supplements and water and protein. I've been meaning to sit down and do that but I keep getting distracted by another project. I start school next week so I have a buncha projects in the works that I need to get moving on before I don't have a lotta time on my hands.

I am so proud of myself I figured out how to post an 'avatar'... and I posted two week post-op pics. My husband says he can see it in my face, the loss of 50 pounds(since the beginning)... I don't. Of course! I can feel my pants are a little looser. So, pictures, I thought, I could look back and see. I think, June 1, still sore or not, I'm gonna go sign-up at the rec center so I can get moving. And my 3 yr old into swim lessons, too!  Fun times!
