Went for my pre op meeting today. Also found out that my doc is using the Da Vinci machine.He has never done a bypass with this machine and wanted to give it a try. He told me that "several" other doctors would be attending this surgery because it is a first for them as well. they have used the Da Vinci machine several times before but never for gastric bypass. Im pretty excited to be a part of such a monumental event. As the time gets closer tho I find Im getting really nervous. I cant stand the thought of failing. Ive come to far to quit now. I hope Im prepared for afterward. I go back to school 2 days after I come home from the hospital and plan on returning to work a week after surgery. I hope my plans are not more than I can handle. I find it almost impossible to sit still for long.
