8 months out! I should stop losing?

Apr 04, 2011

Hey OH Family!

Today I'm 8 months out from RNY. I had an appointment with my Nutritionist today and according to her scale I'm at 145 lbs!
That is a loss of 127 lbs from my heaviest, and 98 lbs since surgery! Wowza!!!
I've lost 91% of my excess weight! Incredible!

She asked me what a typical day of eating is for me and if I exercise. I ran through what I "generally" eat .... Greek yogurt for breakfast, Chili or grilled chicken for lunch, and usually grilled chicken for dinner with salad or a side of veggies.
I told her how we do Power 90 6 days a week, and how I do Pilates and Yoga each once a week.

So, she told me I'm doing amazing and that she doesn't want me to lose anymore weight. She said I could eat whatever I want now (stressing the IN MODERATION point), but to try and stay away from simple carbs and all the white foods like rice, chips, breads, etc. But she said since I'm exercising I could add in another meal such as yogurt or apples with peanut butter to give more calories and protein with good carbs and that would be fine. But basically I shouldn't lose anymore weight.

Besides my visit with my nutritionist ..... Everything else is going good too!

My hair loss seems to be slowing a little (Thank baby Jesus!).  Although it hasn't stopped completely, I don't notice handfuls coming out at a time anymore. And I see the little baby hairs sticking up on the top of my head that are just starting to grow in. So there's hope that soon enough I'll have my thick head of hair back! Yays!

The BF and I just discovered we really like Soy Milk! And, the BF makes an Amazing chocolate protein/soy milk/peanut butter/banana protein shake. YUMMERS!

I'm really super-duper excited about Spring coming this year. Our winter has been BRUTAL and long! And now that I'm 120+ pounds lighter I am so excited to go hiking, kayaking, camping, rafting, etc. BRING IT ON!!!!!
