Dr. Sosa is the best Bariatric surgeon in Florida. I had my surgery on March 6, 2012 and I have now lost 71 lbs in 3.5 months. My life has changed drastically for the best. I have more energy than I have ever had. I no longer have High Blood Pressure and Sleep Apnea. I no longer snore.. Yay!!! Dr. Sosa gave me a new lease on life and the opportunity to live longer for my son.

Describe your behavioral and emotional battle with weight control before learning about bariatric surgery.
When I was younger I didn't have any issues with my weight but I was the sibling or relative that always ate a big meal. At the age of 10 I was diagnosed with Asthma. After I graduated from high school, a year later I found out I was pregnant. I weighed 183 lbs. I was having a high risk pregnancy because I had High Blood Pressure and Blood Clotting Factors. At 36 weeks pregnant, I gave birth to a beautiful baby boy. I gained 50 lbs in my first pregnancy with him and I lost 20 lbs but eventually put it all back on. I continued to have controlled High Blood Pressure with Meds and trouble breathing due to my asthma. I weighed 233 lbs. In 2010, I had Laparoscopic Gallbladder Surgery from poor eating habits. Two months after surgery I found out I was...

Welcome to my Obesity Help page. I began my journey of weight loss surgery September 2011, at the age of 25, looking at others on youtube and saying to myself "If they did it, so can I".  I was tired of being tired, super obese, and unhealthy. I went to a Bariatric Seminar in November 2011 and learned more about the different types of bariatric procedures that were out there. Gastric Bypass was my best option because I am 100 pounds over weight. To be actual I started my journey with a weight of 294.6 lbs and height of 5 feet 4 inches. I had my Gastric Bypass (RNY) surgery on March 6, 2012. I hope my page will encourage others as their profile pages and youtube channel has encouraged and inspired me. So continue to ride with me through my journey as I ride with you through yours!!!!!

At times I look in the mirror and say "Wow, who is this person because I cant believe who I see", and at times I don't see the weight loss but in this photo this is one of those WOW moments where I said "I cant believe I can see in between my thighs!!!" I am so LOVING my RNY!!!

I am wearing a Size 10 dress and it fits very roomy. I am amazed at my weight loss although losing is slowing down for me now than it was in the beginning stages. I feel like a huge WEIGHT has been lifted off of me LITERALLY.. LOL!

Ecstatic!

I am feeling wonderful enjoying my curves and looking how I use to look 10 years ago in high school. The only negative thing that will eventually go away is me trying to make my brain catch up with the reality that I am now 196 lbs and not 294.6 lbs.
