I am looking for WLS buddies whether or not you have had surgery or not I would love to be friends! I enjoy getting on OH but see so many older before and afters from years ago, are there any of those from 06-07 and up still on? These are so encouraging, but i would love to be more engaged but not sure where else to look?

Well the dr called and I have to have a sleep study done, Lord I can't wait to have surgery, these added things are starting to wear on me! 

Spoke with Dr. Lalors office this morning!!! My first consult with him along with all of the tests that need done will be December 4th! I am so excited and can not wait to get this journey started!!! 

I have spent most of my day just looking at different profiles on this sight. Searching for answers to so many questions. Is this the right path for me? Can I do the life changing that is expected of me when its my time? Will I have the success story that so many people have? Or will I be the one that doesn't choose the right path and end up losing nothing?  I have would like to have new friends, I have been adding all day, but it seems no one is up for friendships here just posting blogs, so its awful hard to get opinions. I will keep trying and just keep looking at those amazing before and after pictures.

Well my husband and I went to my first seminar in years! I have the right insurance this time, the right Dr and the right idea! This time my husband and son are both on board for me to do this! I met Dr. Lalor of the Wood county Hospital on Tuesday, I got loads of information and with the support of my family I am heading into this!  I went for my regular appointment with my Nurse Practitioner (primary NP) today and asked for her to send my referral out to the WLS at Wood county so I could get my first consultation, she was not happy and is by no means a fan of WLS but she did send the referral. She feels that at this weight, that I can lose it and keep it off with diet and exercise, (like that has never been attempted before). I feel that this is the right time for me to do this, and with my family backing me I am at total peace! Now to figure out which way I am leaning, Gastric sleeve or Rouin Y? Anyone have any insight as to each? Praying that I get a call next week from Dr. Lalor's office next week so that I can get this ball a rollin!!! 

Never got the surgery I planned in 2009, too much red tape for insurance, and it got to be more of a headache than help. But October 14th I go to another seminar with good insurance hope to have the lap band done! 

Well , I met the Dr that is going to help me change my life! First meeting is down, now praying for insurance approval and then its off to Ypsilanti for surgery! Dr Poplawski will be doing my surgery.
Pray for me everyone, this is the third time I have attempted this and in earlier attempts my insurance backed out at the point of getting the date, new insurance and new chance at a whole new outlook!
