Entry #103 - 11/23/2009

Hello OH Friends!

I am now 10 weeks out from surgery and
78 pounds are gone forever! 

I will have Steve (my hubby) take pics of me in the same outfit I wore for the 08/29/2009 pics this Sunday, as that will be 3 months since I officially began my weight loss journey with the pre-surgery diet, and I will post them immediately.  I hope that the difference that I feel shows in the pics!

I am so looking forward to Thanksgiving.  I work today and tomorrow and then I will have a 5 day weekend! 

There is a bit of a cloud hanging over Thanksgiving though ... my oldest son, Christopher (19) told me and Steve last night that he will be spending Thanksgiving and the weekend with his girlfriend, Lindsay, and her family in Allerton, which is about 60 miles south of Des Moines.  I am bummed that he will not be with us on Thanksgiving, but more than that I am bummed that he will not be home the entire weekend.  We have a few traditional type things that we do over Thanksgiving weekend that he will miss.  One is watching "Christmas Vacation" as a family, another is decorating the house and putting up the tree while having hot cocoa and cookies.  I know that he is growing up and that I have to learn to share him, but it isn't easy.

Well, I am off to a meeting!  I hope that all of you have a wonderful Thanksgiving.  Remember to count your blessings, as there are surely many!
