Almost 12 weeks post-op

Jan 03, 2010

Only lost -1 lb this week for a weigh-in at 214 lbs.  The lowest weight I have been since I delivered my son 22 years ago(actually weighed 213 at delivery).  My size 20 jeans are getting loose and I am wearing some X-large tops, and I really need to buy new undies!  My size 11 and 12's are all but falling off of me!  continue to drink a protein shake a day and then eat mostly cheese (mozzarella, munster), Shrimp, chicken.  I try to avoid carbs, except for occasional triscuit thins.  Had a few bites of some Chinese the family ordered for New Years Eve and was even able to keep down the noodles and some rice.  The rest was almond chicken and sweet and sour pork, I ate one piece of pork and about 2 oz. almond chicken, chewed well, and no problems.  So far I have had no signs of dumping syndrome.  was able to eat a bon-bon or 2 over Christmas which I made as gifts, no problems, just felt full after about a 1/2 a one at a time.  Nice to be able to have a bite and not want more, though I know that won't be the case next year, so I won't be making them!  Still not exercising, but have ordered a yoga DVD from netflix to try, and plan to purchase myself a Wii Fit next payday.  So, I know that is partly why the weight is coming off so slowly.  I feel pretty good, not a lot of energy though.  I get my vitamins the majority of the time.  it's the morning ones I forget most often, a couple of times a week.
