Missed 1 month of my 6 months

My insurance requires me to follow a 6 month "physician assisted weight lost program". I have been doing this since May 2014. My August appointment had to be postponed a week due to my work coverage being in the hospital, which pushed it back to September. Now the surgeons office is concerned that my insurance company will not approve my surgery because it is not a 6 month "consistent" program, even though it was only postponed for one week. Has anyone else came across this? Did you have to have 6 continuous appointment, or did your insurance approve your surgery. I am very stressed I have been following the program religiously, because I want a better life, however I am not to the point where I miss all those wonderful foods, and its becoming cold so I am not as motivated to work out. I am afraid that my momentum will be lost if they tell me that i need to go ANOTHER 4 consistent months.
