Hey Everyone,
It has been a little while since I updated. I am so sick right now.  I have strep throat, and boy is it painful, thank God for sugar free popsicles I went to the doctors 3 days ago and they told me I have strep, I also got weighed and I weighed 215, I had also weighed 215 at home that morning, so I had gained a pound. boy I was sick and I gained a pound.  I got weighed yesterday though and I was down to 212.5lbs, so it looks like the plateau has finally broken. And even better news than that, I got weighed this morning and I am down to 211 lbs! So I have lost a grand total now of 128lbs! I am 12lbs away from being under 200, I am going to work hard at it this week and see what I can accomplish.  It is weird because I thought I ate so much yesterday. I had a barbecue birthday party for my daughter Lauren, who turns 16 today (HAPPY BIRTHDAY LAUREN), and I ate a country rib (well most of it) and some taco salad. I also had a piece of icecream birthday cake (and it didn't make me sick...good and bad ;-)).  I'm setting a mini goal to try and be under 200 by my 8mth out anniversary on june 23,2004...hope I make it.
I have not been able to get to a support group in like 3 months, which is really bumming me out. Our group was yesterday, they had to change it this month from the second saturday of the month to the first, but I had too much to do with my daughters party and not feeling well. I miss those guys so much. I definitely will not miss next months meeting, I need it.
Okay well I gotta go and get ready for church, I will update again later. Oh and my sister who is in the hospital is doing great and should be getting out within the next two weeks.

Hey everyone,
I know it has been awhile since I updated, I am sorry but I have been in pain hell for at least 3 weeks now. First I had 2 weeks of strep throat, with intense pain in my ears and throat...yeah, yeah, use chloraseptic and tylenol it will take away the pain..NOT.....then the day finally came that my throat stopped hurting and guess what, that night my jaw on the left side started to hurt. The pain was getting worse and worse. I had a dentist appt. scheduled for that tuesday so I decided to wait it out and go see the dentist. Well it turns out that that appt was only for exray's and a checkup. They could tell me that I had 2 possibly 3 teeth that needed work, the one tooth they said they could try filling and if that didn't work they would have to extract it. I said okay lets go, well they said unfortunately they would not be able to do anything for me then, they would have to put me on the schedule for the filling.  The first opening they had was for july 20th, more than a month away!! and they wouldn't give me anything for pain. I was in tears when i left that office.  I called the next morning and said that I needed to be seen, they gave me an emergency appt. I was like "praise God".  Well I went to this appt. and they took more exrays and yes I had 3 teeth that needed work. One definitely needed root canal (instead of the filling I was told about) and the other needed a crown, and the 3rd (which I was told the day before was okay) needed a possible root canal. Okay lets get it going, well they don't do root canal work, I have to be referred out, (they couldn't tell me this the day before!!) and they could give me a script for an antibiotic, no pain killers, but get this, the antibiotic should take away the pain (news to me). What jerks!! Again I left the office in tears, they had been poking at my already aching teeth for two days with metal prods and no pain meds.  So I called the place they referred me to, it was the dental school of the university of pennsylvania. they said the soonest appt was at least 3 weeks away, I would be dead by then.  they said, however, I could be an emergency walk in, if I could get there before 7am. I know with the three kids that that was an impossibility...even though I have not really been sleeping since the tylenol doesn't really take away the pain, and that is with using anbesol also. She then told me that I could make an emergency appt., I said yes make me an emergency appt. and she did for the very next day at 12;30. And that was today.  I called my primary to find out about taking coumadin and getting dental work done, they told me that I would have to be off of it for 3 days, so I didn't take it today.  I went to the appt. and guess what, a root canal would not resolve my problem and save the tooth, they have to extract it. Oh one other thing, at my regular dentist's office, they said this has been going on for a couple of years with my tooth by the looks of it, I said funny thing since I came there like 2 years ago with pain in the same area and they examined me and took exrays and said it was fine! Anyway, back to my dentist appt. today, they took exrays and examined me, took a history, they were great, the student I had used to be a dentist in Russia and came to the united states and had to attend dental school to be able to practice dentistry here. She was amazing, I hope anytime I have to go back I get her. I can't remember her exact name. Anyway, she even called my primary to find out about the coumadin, which I didn't take today, they told her for an extraction I have to be off of it for 5days. So I couldn't have the work done today (UUUUGGGGHHHHH!!!!) My 3rd dentist visit in 3 days and I couldn't get the work done. But they did give me a script for tylenol 3's. Thank God, at least I have some relief from the pain. Then she walked me down to the oral surgery suite and I have an appt. for monday morning at 9am to have my tooth pulled. I am soooooo scared. It is a wisdom tooth and the root is all curved, I know someone who's jaw was broken when they had their wisdom tooth pulled.  I am trying not to think about it. So I leave the appt. and go to my car, and there are 2 tickets on it, they total 125 dollars. I couldn't win.
Well needless to say, I haven't been able to eat much in the past 3 weeks, but I haven't lost any weight. It really is depressing. I guess I'll start losing again once I'll be able to eat right again. I haven't been able to take all of my supplements either, and my hair has started falling out again....uuuggghhh.

 I hope that I can recover quickly from this extraction and start getting my protein in again and my supps.

I have been able to eat carbs and I really have to get that under control when my teeth are better.
I hope that I haven't destroyed my new eating habits. I guess I'll just have to be more diligent to change!!
I can't wait to go back to the Y and swim or workout...being sick and in pain has prevented me from being able to go.
