I am one step closer, I attended the Educational Class today and learned some neat stuff. One thing I learned was if you eat soup (like vegetable) you may not be getting any benefit from the vegies because it is a liquid with food and it will wash on down. Also, no iceburg lettuce! Will go straight through you. The things I have to look forward to.

I am really getting excited though. After insurance approval, the surgery scheduling is only 2-3 weeks out. I expected a longer wait so I may be having surgery by the end of June... Whooo hoooo...

Ok, I am really getting nervous now.

I went to the Cardiologist and he was very excited for me, he said that this surgery will be the best thing in the world for me and my diabetes and for my heart. I had a resting test done and a echo ultrasound, now I have to have a walking on the treadmill test and send results to the surgeon. I will have the treadmill test on May 18th and surgeon appt. on May 20th. I hope that will be everything done.
