Surgeon Testimonial

Oliver Whipple
My first impression of Dr. Whipple was that he was a very nice looking doctor, but also very professional and caring. He seemed to know exactly what surgery would be best for me right away. He is a very busy doctor and doesn't spend much time visiting with you, which is ok as long as he answers all your questions (which he did).

The staff of Memorial Bariatric Center was great! No problems and very helpful. The only little problem we had was with insurance, payment person, she really didn't understand how our insurance and suplimental insurance all worked together and tried to get us to pay some up front and we are 100% covered. That was not a huge deal though because we paid a little and that covered the deductible which we would have had to pay anyway.

Memorial Bariatric Clinic has a patient portal but it is not really that beneficial becuase it is not updated that frequently.

All in all the experience was good. I felt like I was well cared for and was very happy with Dr. Whipple and his staff.

WTH ....? I am tired of this stall now.

I am still at a stall. I get so nervous when the scale stops moving. I know I should be losing weight because there is no way that I have taken in enough calories to gain weight.

I get that same old feeling, the one that creeps in on you and tells you that you are a failure. I know I am not a failure I have lost almost 60 pounds. I just see others who have had the surgery the same time as me and they have lost alot more than I have. I know, I know don't compare, that is easier said than done.

I am still very happy. Someone asked me the other day if I would like to lose more weight and I said about 40 more pounds would be great but if I don't I am not going to stress too much about it because I have done what I wanted to do..... get off the meds for diabetes and high blood pressure.

Well, my anniversary is this month and I hope to do something special with my special man. Life is good, I am not complaining, well maybe just a little.

Christmas is right around the corner...  new clothes..... yippie!!!
