Ok . . so I went to bed at 11 and I woke at 2am thinking about surgery.   Anxious, excited, curious are all the emotions I feel.  I went to the forum and read all the posts, re-read all my various emails, sent emails to Laureli and Dr. Cleysa asking questions and updated my excel spreadsheet so that it autocalculates my BMI.  Right now . . . I am superobese.  If I keep on track I will be in the next category down by surgery. (Morbidly obese)  I calculated every number I need for the journey to "Normal".  But I am still wound up.  Need to sleep because I want to go to my first live support group tonight and need to have the energy to do that.     

12/11/11 Ok . .. its Sunday.  I have been on this liquid diet for 4 days today.  It is boring and I am hungry but I am not miserable. I have been on the forum for information and support.  Also for ideas about what to do this week and beyond.  I realized today that I normally fill my medication organizer on Sundays.  This week I will not have to fill beyond Friday!  Saturday I will be sleeved!  It is my understanding that I will not need most of my medication postoperatively.  Yay!  

Wendy told me that she is scared today.  This is a good thing.  At least she is dealing with it and not holding it in.  This way we can support one another.  I am scared too but excited.  This is the beginning of changing my life.  

I was told at work that I was mandated to take Dec 23rd to Jan 2nd off last week.  I came home and talked with Wendy about what we should do.  We research a trip to New Jersey to be with her Mom.  The cost was prohibitive.  So I got to thinking . . .I have postponed my surgery twice for work. . . now is the time.  

I called my doctor's office and asked if I could get it done.   Eventually we settled on December 17, 2011 for my surgery.
