Life Plan Devotion--just a letter today

Dear OH Friends & Life Plan Devotion Readers,It is with a very sad heart that I tell you that my 9th grandbaby, who would have been born around Jan. 22, 2011, moved to Heaven. This happened Sunday evening, but I did not find out about it until Monday, and it was confirmed by the doctor yesterday afternoon.
While we know that the "thief" was successful in stealing this baby, we also know that God allowed it to happen, and we trust in Him. He knows far more than we do. Even in our grief, we praise the Lord, for His goodness, mercy, and loving-kindness. Truly, there is joy in every sorrow, healing in every pain.

We were very concerned about telling little Dylan. He was so excited to be a big brother. Regan took him on a drive and told him. Dylan was sad, but he said, "If God took the baby to Heaven, He must have had a good reason," and then he asked if Regan would take him to Walmart, to buy his mom a teddy bear. I love that boy.
God answered our prayer, just not in the way we wanted. Not in the way we wanted, but in the way that was best for us. In that we are confident. We grieve, but not as those who have no hope.
If I live a hundred years, I will praise the Lord at all times.
I hope you will forgive me for not posting a regular devotion today. I thank each of you for your throughts and prayers, and I ask that you pray for continued comfort in the days ahead. I didn't get to see this baby, but I feel like I've known this baby. I feel such love for this baby, and I grieve. In prayer, early this morning, the Lord gave me a vision of my mother (who looked great, by the way) holding and rocking the baby, stroking its little face. Now, I have one more to include when I say, "Heaven is sweeter, with you there."
