Been home a while now........

Had surgery on Monday Sept. 20th. I had a bypass and a hernia repair. Waking up in the OR was fine, I remember something inflating around me and I heard counting and I was lifeted and moved. I went to the recovery room where I got Morphine for pain, which does nothing by the way. There were like 2 guys in there that were snoring or hollaring, they kept waking me up. I had several visitors. Other than pain and shaking I felt okay. I didn't feel sick I just felt like my stomach was cramping. Then I got moved to my room, were I got more Morphine and visitors. By the time I got to my room it was like 8pm, surgery was at 2:30. I felt very tense, and when I tried really hard to relax all my muscles I felt better. My nurse Jessica was in and out all night, loved her had her for both nights I was there. I was up walking in the middle of the night. In the moring I went down to X-ray to check for leaks. They did not have their Sh*# together down there. I was in and out of the wheelchair, bleeding. Oh yeah I forgot to mention I started my period the day before! Anyway, the crap they make you drink was pretty nasty, but it was cold and wet! Went back up to my room where I got a half shower ( Thank God I had my husband there to help me), some fresh panties and a pad. I felt so much better! Then my leak check came back fine so I had some water for the first time and it was so good, I had my shake which was also pretty tasty. Then I found out I would be staying that night as well. More of the same, except when I was able to drink they switched me to Tylenol #3, which worked Soooooo mush better than the stupid morphine! I had blood thinners injected every 12 hours, and I am still having them here at home. Yeah! Giving myself shots in the stomach! That's what I call fun! Anyway, so just walking, taking my vitamins and shakes is what I have been doing. Sleep is becoming an issue because I cannot tolerate sleeping on my side, so I am tired of sleeping on my back!
