Remembering surgery day
Feb 01, 2010
Ok, to recap for a bit. On Jan 26, 2010 I had the surgery and yes it was as hard as I thought it would be, (no point in sugar coating that). The first thing I remember was not feeling pain but feeling very nausious. That went on pretty much all day. Phenergan affects me very hard so once that went in I was pretty much out of it the rest of the day. The people in my room were just a blurr and my tongue felt like it was 2 - 3 times the size it should be and there wasn't anything I could do. I felt bad that some of the friends and family were there and I couldn't even make a complete sentence. That is pretty much all I remember from that day.(PRIOR TO SURGERY)
I would like to add that the staff that got me ready for surgery and the anesthia people were incredible! They were attentive, personable and even funny. I was sooooo scarred and they just took everything in stride. I didn't feel rushed but felt like they were keeping things moving and just delt with my emotions and questions. They were all fabulas!
