2 Kgs - gone just like that
May 28, 2010
I am listening to Toni Braxton 'Im redoing my wardrobe with brand new love' and it somehow seems appropriate for my journey at this point. I think being an obese person leads to one accepting less in terms of love than one should or is entitled to and at least I think this has characterised my relationships so far, including with my DH.Well, that aside, I have lost 2Kgs - 4.4 pounds in the course of roughly this last week. I woke up and decided to give up the sugar, the muffins, the croissants, and the hot chocolate - oh I have cheated here and there, but so far I am feeling good about the way this is going. I can see a glimmer of hope in the distant future... a lot to go, but still a beginning and I will be doing it with a tool.
Yesterday I got myself a pair of sneakers... Nike Lunarlite, now if I only get to use them instead of them sitting gathering dust in my closet, that would be a good thing. The thought of me at a size 14/16 as opposed to where I am now - errrrrrrrr - 28/30 should be inspirational enough. It is the summer and if I can just leave the car at home I would be well on my way. Also bought a nice carrier bag - Nike as well... I am trying to totally embrace this new lifestyle. On Wednesday I stocked up on protein shakes and a shaker.
I officially on Thursday night begun my liquid fast on Modifast - which I take three times a day. So far it seems to work - although I have cheated once or twice, but I must say it tastes great - not like I was thinking - having read some of the comments about protein shakes.
So... I am on course. Having a relaxing Saturday and looking forward to life. Just when I think I am all alone, my phone rings and it is friends checking up on me.
