Surgeon Testimonial

Eric Hungness
Met Dr. Hungness last April when he led the seminar that I attending at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. He did a wonderful presentation. He was available for questions afterward and I was impressed with his personal approach to the participates. His presentation was information and I looked forward to my appointment to start my proceed. I felt I had made a good choice. Followup with Dr. Hungness at the office with my husband. He again was agreeable and knowledgable. My husband had more question which he took the time to answer fully. My husband and I were both impressed by him. Pre-op and Post op, Dr. Hungness and his team were excellent. The day of surgery my husband and sister would with me. They both spoke to him after the surgery. When I arrived to my room they were waiting for me. Both were smiling and happy to let me know that everything had gone well. Dr. Hungness visited soon after and reviewed my surgery with me. I recommend him without reservation. Just saw him yesterday for my post op visit. Things are going well.

pre-op
on February 17, 2011 6:07 am
pre-op last monday. talked with anesthesia. I was thinking that I hope it will  be a easier draw for labs when I lose weight.  they do have a difficult time getting lab work from me some days. Scheduled to meet with surgeon and nutritionist next tuesday. for a bright note, today is my last day at my job. I will be officially retired from my job of the last 30 years. As I post before I am glad that I waited until now to have the surgery.

glad my surgery is not scheduled for this week. my job just cancelled all surgery in the Main OR. Hopefully the snow will clear by March. my reason for this posting is to offer support to all my fellow OH who may or may not have their cases postponed. Good luck

I was reading someone else blog. She related how she enjoyed reading her blog to see her progress. Today is one of those days. I am currently finishing my paperwork to retire from my job at the end of February. I had postponed by surgery until after my retirement and I am glad that I did. Reading and researching on the OH forum, I will be glad not to have the added stress of trying to return to work. I did my pre-op appointment for labs and medical clearance yesterday. will be seen on 2/14/2011. My nutrition class and meet with the surgeon is scheduled for 2/22/2011. On the phone they told me I would be doing a 10 day liquid diet prior to surgery which I will start on 2/24/2011. I have read of others on the OH forum so I will be looking at those comments during my first couple of days for inspiration. Guess I will be walking the dog frequently. I told my husband this will be a change in increase his culinary skills. He reminded me that he cooked prior to meeting me but I reminded him that he stopped cooking for himself when I had "leftovers"
