I just noticed when I looked back at my blogs that it was in November of last year that I had my referall sent into Guelph.  Seems like a long process...

OK so it's been a while since I blogged...lol.  Obviously I was "Yellow Booked" back in July.  They were very happy with my food journal and I had lost 10 lbs so that was good.
I have been waiting now for almost 4 months for my appointment with the surgeon and the big day is finally here on Wed. Nov. 10th.
AT this appointment I will get my final approval for surgery and hopefully dates for my pre-op, anesthesiologist, and surgery appointments.
I am so freaking out.  I am worried that the scale won't show that I have lost or even maintained my weight although my scale does show a loss of a few lbs.  I am really going to have to be careful for the next few days.
I also have this fear that he will say he can't do my surgery because of the severe psoriasis on my stomach.
Joe is bringing me to my appointment. and i am meeting Ann there as well.  She has her surgeon appointment the same day.
I will hopefully remember to update after my appointment.

So I had my appointment back on May 11th and all went well.  Had my bloodwork, upper GI, and U/S done.  I am hoping that is all fine too.  My family Dr. said that the blood work for my vitamin levels all came back good so now I see what the other results are this Thursday when I go back for me 2nd appointment with the nurse , nut and s/w. 

I am hoping they add me to the yellow book that day.  The surgeries have been pushed back due to the extended absense of one of the surgeons but they have hired a new surgeon from what I am hear and hopfully this will speed things up.  As it stands right now though I don't believe that I will get surgery until about Oct or November.  Probably on my birthday...lol.

 So as I stand now I have my CPAP machine.  I am loving my new found sleep.  

I had my group info session at Guelph on April 15th..

I have my upper GI and abdominal ultrasound scheduled for May 26th.

I have my first appointment with the nurse, Nut and social worker on May 11th.

So I am well on my way and getting very excited.  Thank goodness for support group meetings and all of the people on OH to keep me on track and headed toward my goal.  They are such a motivation.

I need this surgery so bad.  I am in so much pain from the strain of all this weight on my body and am so physically exhausted after such a small bit of physical activity.

 So as of now I have had my second sleep study.  My first study it was discovered that I had a breathing disturbace of about 135 times per hour which is apparently pretty sever.  So Dr. Soparkar called me at home and had me book another appointment for March 17 to try out a cpap machine.  I hope I never have to have another sleep study again.  I hate them.  
The only good thing about my appointment was getting to meet up with my new friend Stacey both times.  She is a very nice and funny person and we get on great.  

So I go back to see Dr. Soparkar on the 29th to get a prescription for the cpap machine and that is the end of that ordeal hopefully.

I have a group appointment in Guelph on April 15th which my mother in law will be taking me to.  And then my first initial consult is still on for May 11th.  

I am still very excited to get on with the show and start my new life as a skinny bitch...lol.
