Trying to get it together...

I can't believe that it has been a week since I last blogged. One of my goals was to keep up with my blog journal every day. I am now going to try to get back on track!Thursday July 8th I went to the pain specialist to have my spinal proceedure done.
I have been putting this off since April/May!! I ended up with an absessed tooth, which couldn't be pulled until the infection went away. That took about 3 weeks! Then I found out that I was going ahead with being banded. With the pre-op diet and all the things I had to purchase for that I really couldn't afford the co-pay for the pain specialist. So I put it off. (Wrong thing to do!) Then I had to wait until I was healed enough from the surgery to be able to lay on my stomach on the table to have the proceedure done. Praying that nothing else went wrong to prevent it from happening!
I have 2 bulging disks in my lower spine in addition to arthritis and degenerative disk disease. The bulging disks were pressing on my nerves making my left leg numb not to mention my left hip has been throbbing preventing me from any kind of physical exercise.
Well I went through the proceedure on Thursday and Saturday my mom and I had a girls day out shopping. We left around noon and didn't get back home until about 6pm. We both were exhausted!! I was in pain and so was she...she isn't a spring chicken anymore either.. she is 68 years old; 69 in August. When did she get old on me? Mamma's aren't supposed to look like your grandmas! I still cherrish every minute we get to spend together, more so now!
Anyway, back to topic... When I got home my hubby had started laundry and he had cleaned 1/2 the house.. How sweet!! I 'm not sure how long we spent actually walking, but for the first time in a year I didn't use the electric carts while shopping. I was amazed!!! I walked or pushed the shopping cart!! I am soo proud of myself!! I ended up laying around on Sunday.. no exercise.. just nursing my poor hip!
Tomorrow I am going to call Curves to see what kind of deal I can get for a membership! I need to get my booty out there and exercise!!! No one is going to put it in gear for me!
