Wednesday is your day! Just remember you are on the journey of a lifetime. Try to enjoy every minute. It may sound weird now, but know that you are cared for and prayed for here, and all too soon this will be but a memory and you will be an inspiration to someone else. I am waiting for you on the losers' bench!

I am waiting for my sweet spot, I don't feel like I have any restriction. I think its all in your attitude, so being positive helps. I have retorn my rotator cuff which makes me less then excited about exercising.

20/22 to 14/16

I have less of a belly!

I am hoping to lose my double chin asap!

My surgeon said, 'This is YOUR Summer' and I really feel it.

I didn't make it to the YMCA tonight. I was off last week trying to heal up my foot.

Though Aunt Flow is visiting, I am still losing weight. 208 today.

I wish I knew more people who had lapband surgery, it would be nice to talk about all the details.

I think I really need another fill.

Night times are the worst. I keep eating 100 calorie popcorn bags with Ranch Popcorn Topping!

I will feel better if I work out tomorrow. I am grateful for the band and this journey of learning to use this incredible tool.

I am excited about starting to work out at the local Y tomorrow.  I have lost atleast 5 lbs. since surgery on the 7th. I keep thinking I should take body measurements but haven't. My pants are falling off me, which is an excellent sign.

I had my first pain with eating. Its kind of like being hit in the diaphram and nerve pain, all at once.

This morning was weird, because even drinking water was a task! Now I KNOW what fellow bandsters mean when they talk about mornings being 'tight'.

It is going to feel so good to be on the recumbent bike with less weight on my bones!

When I went in for the 2 week post op. the surgeon (not my surgeon but another doc there -- Dr.Kam) said that I am free to exercise.

Really? I can lift weights?

I don't know if I will lift weights. I will try not to jump in all at once, start with
the recumbent, then get my daughter from the childcare there and we will go swimming.

I am feeling good, arnica montana is amazing. If you are interested in homeopathic remedies, arnica is fabulous!

You can apply it externally as well in cream form.

Muscle Milk is the only protein drink I like the taste of. Isopure isn't bad and days when I need the extra protein boost, I will take it.

I had an m&m the other day and it didn't taste good! What the? I love chocolate, this had a unpleasant after taste.

The nights are the hardest, I am a snacker. Our microwave stopped heating, so there went alot of what I usually eat.

Going to get another microwave.

Malt o meal with organic peanut butter = yum
Wonton soup made fresh from a local place = satisfying
Soup = Satisfying and filling
Lunch meat = Boars Head Turkey Pastrami (expensive but high quality) low calories, good for night snacks

I have taken to eating meals at the table. It helps me be mindful.

I discovered that I can eat the innards of the McDonalds breakfast burrito. I haven't looked at the calorie content though.

I love my band, I love my life, I am grateful to my toes!

I have been updating on my regular blog: myspace.com/rozilla I'd be happy to add anyone so they can read about my journey.

I had the lapband surgery on Wednesday. My surgeon was Dr.Poplawski at Barix in Ypsilanti. He told my husband Brian that I have a HUGE liver. The surgery took a while longer then expected and I ended up with 6 incisions.

I stayed the night per my insurances wants. Most lapband patients go home that day.

Pain was mostly managed though I think they stopped the morphine a bit too soon.

Somehow my back and neck were in spasm.

My Mom cared for my daughter and my son stayed home.

It was good to get home to my comfortable bed (the beds at Barix are glorified camping sleep pads!).

I have been walking and resting and sleeping.

I saw my chiropractor on Friday. She was able to work on me sitting up. I go back on Tuesday (she isnt open on Mondays or I'd be there!) -- my neck constantly hurts, a sharp pain. My back is better.

I am grateful!

I love the Magic Bullet I bought at CVS. I have been eating pretty good. Not getting enough fluids or protein but making great strides.

A good friend of mine brought me some butternut squash soup and it was DELICIOUS.

I have been starting off my day with muscle milk, which has 22 grams of protein.

My goals for the week are to rest, walk and feel better. I am taking 3 classees this semester and I need to catch up.

My next appointment with Dr.Poplawski is the 20th.

I am having some bleeding/oozing through my steri strips, I have stained my nightgown.

I have lost 4 lbs, wow!

Listening to the Summer sounds in my home office. I try to soak in all the alive sounds so that when winter comes I don't miss it. However I think the goal is to suck the juice out of each day, live in the present and be happy, right now for right now.

Neck pain. Pain in the neck.

Frustration. School starting. Guidance.

My Story

I became overweight after having my son in 1993. I remember being horrified at reaching 150. Now its a goal! After being on every diet, exercise, I realized I needed something serious.

So I began to research surgeries and got a book on  the lap band and have been fearful.

I have been going through some lifechanging times in the past year. It has allowed me to understand that this is my life and that it is possible to make positive changes and flourish.

I have two wonderful children, ages 13 and 4. I have been a web designer for many years and now I am finishing college and writing but mainly my primary focus is Mothering.

I garden, love music, collect records, gargoyles and buddhas.

I am a big fan of The Law Of Attraction (popularized by the movie: The Secret).

I think of myself as deeply spiritual. I am setting the positive intention of the surgery going smoothly and I am picturing myself trimmer and healthier and happier!
